One of the best things I’ve done in recent years is building my dog photography studio.
It’s flown by, but five years ago, I broke ground on the foundation groundworks for my studio space. I’d previously run my sales and studio dog portrait sessions from a dedicated space in my house, but it was time to take it to a purpose-built location.
I’m fortunate that I had sufficient space to build the studio I wanted on the grounds of my home. Having been in business for quite some time, I really knew what I wanted and could specify the right size and fundamentally how dark I needed it too.
It’s been brilliant having this space of my own, and I don’t think there was anything I would have changed about the build-out after using it for the last five years.
But like everything in our own homes, over the years, things have become a little tired and in need of a new lick of paint.
So in tandem with a change to my product samples, I’ve completely reshaped and redecorated the studio to meet the challenges of the next five years.
New lighting and dark walls really highlight the stunning collections I offer and draw your eyes to the viewing screen when we explore the images created during your session.
After we’ve completed the shoot element of our session, either out on location or in the studio, you will return here to enjoy viewing the final selection I’ve chosen to share with you. There is nothing better than seeing these photographs larger than life on the studio screen and working together to select the ones for your walls.
Special software helps me show you the finished artwork in frames or collections at true size and even using mock-ups digitally installed on the walls of your rooms.
I can’t wait to share this refreshed space with you over the years ahead.
