Gun dog shows are an important part of our British summertime and between June an September there are quite a few running in Cheshire and North Wales. Back in June we had an gun dog photographer exhibition stand at the Bodelwyddan Country Fair.
We were there to exhibit our fine art gun dog portraiture and run a competition to offer a complimentary location photoshoot and a piece of wall art to one lucky person who entered. In this case the client drawn had two Labrador retrievers, one black and one yellow – Tess and Meg.
They were great fun to work with and certainly seemed to enjoy practising their retrieves with a training dummy and obviously get some action in with a tennis ball too. I chose to put the emphasis on some classic portraiture for these two as the location seemed to work well with them both. I love how regal they both look in the images I produced.
Winner of the Xperience Pet Portrait Photographer of the Year Award in 2015, he is the only photographer in the UK with qualifications in horse, dog and fashion photography.
He photographs in stunning locations and in studio to create beautiful pieces of wall art for discerning clients around the North West, across the UK and abroad.
